    Hi Lee,

I would like you to write a review on the site http://www.beckyshomebakedcakes.co.uk and what improvements you can make to an already well ranking wordpress site. Any ideas?

Hi Judith, thanks for leaving a comment on our blog.

Although we’re unable to write a blog post on a site review I can offer a little advice on improving your WordPress optimisation. To be honest though, having reviewed the site it appears to be very well optimised so there isn’t too much I can say, I’d give yourself a pat on the back!

    1. Install the SEO Slugs plugin, to automatically remove stop words from your URL’s to make them shorter and therefore more appealing.
    2. Use the H1 heading tags for your main page titles, and h2, h3 etc. for sub headings.
    3. Use the Headspace plugin to optimise the META description tag for each post you make.
    4. Optimse your images – Use the SEO Friendly Images plugin to automatically add the title of the post and or the image name to the image’s alt and title tag.
    5. Add keyword focused content to the ‘Buy Cakes’ page, link to each category from this page.
    6. Clean up your code – Move the javascript and CSS you have in your template files to external javascripts and css folders
    8. Add a sign-up form on your blog so that readers can subscribe by email or RSS feed – Mail Chimp do a good plugin for this!

Also, in light of the new Google local results you’ll need to continue your SEO (link building, optimisation etc) and optimise your Google Places listing to achieve a higher position in the local results.

I have kept this as short and sweet as possible, hope it helps!
